In 2021, a total of 4.5 billion parcels were delivered in Germany. This corresponds to an average of 111 parcels per household¹. The steady growth of e-commerce continues to push parcel volumes higher, leading to increased pressure on delivery traffic. Without countermeasures and targeted action, emissions from delivery traffic are projected to rise by 32 percent by 2030, while traffic congestion is expected to grow by 21 percent, adding an average of 11 extra minutes of travel time per day per citizen². How can the growing volume of shipments (particularly in the B2C sector) be effectively managed?

The solution

As the parcel market experiences rapid growth, the need for efficient delivery processes and innovative logistics solutions has never been greater.   • Outdoor lockers usually have 77 compartments, while indoor lockers have 39 compartments.
