Bonn / Salzburg, October 1, 2026 – Deutsche Post AG subsidiary DeinFach and the Austrian provider of carrier-neutral parcel lockers, myflexbox, are merging. Through this merger, Deutsche Post AG is further expanding its offering of carrier-neutral parcel lockers in Germany and Austria. The proven myflexbox model—providing parcel lockers for various parcel delivery service providers—and the myflexbox brand will remain in place. The collaboration will create by far the largest carrier-neutral parcel station network in the German-speaking world.
More and more people are shopping online and want to receive or send parcels independently of business hours and in a way that’s as convenient as possible for their daily lives. At the same time, solutions that make efficient use of existing infrastructure and space are becoming increasingly important. The carrier-neutral network makes this possible.
With approximately 3,000 stations in Germany and Austria, myflexbox complements the Germany-wide network of approximately 19,000 DHL Packstations, Poststationen, and DeinFach kiosks. For consumers, this primarily means more locations for handling parcel services from different providers and shorter travel distances. The long-term goal is for the vast majority of people in Germany to be able to reach a parcel locker within a five- to ten-minute walk. By 2030, Deutsche Post AG plans to make a total of approximately 50,000 parcel lockers available to consumers in Germany. More than half of these will be carrier-neutral myflexbox solutions.
Efficient Shared Use of Existing Infrastructure
Open parcel lockers make it possible to receive or send shipments from various parcel service providers at a single central location. This allows for better utilization of existing space and the development of additional locations without having to set up multiple separate automated solutions side by side. This improves accessibility for consumers and makes it easier for municipalities, retailers, and real estate partners to integrate these services.
“Together with myflexbox, we’re making open parcel lockers accessible to even more people. We’re utilizing existing locations, expanding into new ones, and thereby shortening the distances consumers have to travel. This makes receiving and sending parcels even easier for millions of people in Germany and Austria,” says Lukas Beckedorff, Managing Director of DeinFach.
Jonathan Grothaus, CEO & Founder of myflexbox, adds: “We’re delighted to have found a partner in DeinFach that shares our vision. Together, we’re taking the expansion of the largest open parcel locker network to a new level. Through this merger, we’ll offer the most versatile infrastructure with the most integrated services for users.”
DeinFach and myflexbox are consolidating carrier-neutral parcel lockers under the strong myflexbox brand
The carrier-neutral locker networks of DeinFach and myflexbox will be consolidated under the myflexbox brand in the future. This will further strengthen and expand myflexbox as the central brand for open parcel lockers. The DeinFach brand will be gradually transitioned into myflexbox to create a consistent and easily understandable brand image for customers, location providers, and partners.
Door-to-door delivery, partner stores, parcel shops, and packing and postal stations will continue to be an integral part of Post & Paket Deutschland’s offerings.
