  • myflexbox and DHL are strengthening their partnership to create the largest carrier-neutral package station network in the German-speaking world

Vienna / Salzburg, October 19, 2026 – DHL Express Austria is further expanding its service offerings and is now enabling label-free shipping to myflexbox parcel lockers. This launch comes at a time when the partnership between DHL and myflexbox is significantly intensifying: Following the merger of myflexbox with Deutsche Post AG subsidiary DeinFach, open-access package station operations will be consolidated under the myflexbox brand in the future. This brings the myflexbox and DHL networks even closer together and lays the foundation for the largest carrier-neutral package station network in the German-speaking world.

For DHL Express customers, this means long-term access to an even denser infrastructure with more locations, shorter distances, and additional flexibility when sending and receiving packages. Already today, packages can be dropped off around the clock at approximately 1,000 myflexbox locations in Austria. The technical solution is based on a QR code process that makes shipping even easier, faster, and more convenient.

“For us, innovation means continuously simplifying shipping for our customers. Our partnership with myflexbox is an excellent example of this. Together, we combine the strengths of the international DHL Express network with a modern locker infrastructure, thereby creating even more flexibility and convenience for our customers. The fact that DHL Express is the first provider in Austria to offer this service at parcel lockers underscores our commitment to setting new standards for customer-oriented logistics solutions together with strong partners,” explains Kris Van Humbeeck, CEO of DHL Express Austria.

Jonathan Grothaus, CEO International at myflexbox, adds: “Sending packages should be as simple as possible. With label-free shipping to myflexbox parcel lockers, customers can skip another step in the process. Together with DHL Express, we’re rolling out a digital solution that makes shipping more convenient, flexible, and practical for everyday use.”
For customers, the process is particularly simple: After creating the shipment online, they receive a QR code. This is scanned directly at the myflexbox, whereupon a compartment opens and the shipment can be placed inside. A printed shipping label is no longer required. When the DHL Express courier picks up the shipment, the shipment data is automatically retrieved via the QR code and linked to the shipping label. This ensures that the entire process remains fully digital, seamlessly traceable, and secure.
