HOFER’s goal is to make shopping as easy and enjoyable as possible for its customers. To achieve this, the discount retailer relies not only on a clear shelving layout and a diverse selection of fresh foods, but also on parcel lockers in the parking lots of its stores. The partnership with myflexbox now makes it possible to further expand the offerings for HOFER customers. A total of 14 locations have already gone into operation in Vienna, Tyrol, Lower Austria, and Upper Austria.

Sattledt / Salzburg, June 30, 2026 – A modern shopping environment and a diverse selection of fresh produce at HOFER’s usual low prices—that’s what the discounter’s customers can always count on. Thanks to a clear shelving layout, HOFER stores offer a good overview and make it easier to find your way around—saving valuable time while shopping. But HOFER is going one step further and strives to offer its customers a pleasant and efficient shopping experience with short distances—not just inside HOFER stores. For this reason, the grocery retailer is equipping the parking lots of its stores with parcel lockers. In this effort, the partnership with myflexbox marks another important milestone.

A Unique Service for HOFER Customers

In Austria, all parcel services from many major carriers are available at myflexbox locations—from DPD and UPS to GLS and FedEx, as well as DHL Express. This allows the last-mile specialist to offer a unique service to customers.

A Useful Addition to Existing Parcel Lockers

The partnership with myflexbox builds on an existing solid network of over 300 parcel lockers, which will continue to be available to HOFER customers. A total of around 25 new parcel lockers are set to be installed in the coming months. Fourteen of these are already operational, seven of them in Vienna—for example, at the HOFER store at Heigerleinstraße 41, the HOFER store at Gutheil-Schoder-Gasse 4, the HOFER store at Gersthofer Straße 2d, the HOFER store at Erzherzog Karl Straße 160, and the HOFER store at Linzer Straße 455. In addition, three myflexboxes have been installed in Upper Austria—including at the grocery retailer’s headquarters in Sattledt. Accordingly, there are currently locations in Zirl, Vienna, Klosterneuburg-Weidling, Kierling, Krems, Wels, Sattledt, and Peuerbach. Additional myflexboxes are in the planning stages.
