Fulda / Munich, October 22, 2026 – The energy trading company KNITTEL Energie, which operates approximately 80 AVIA stations throughout Germany, is partnering with myflexbox to bring open-access package services to AVIA gas stations: The first 14 myflexbox parcel lockers are already in operation in Hesse, Bavaria, and Thuringia. Customers can receive, send, and return parcels there around the clock. Additional KNITTEL locations are currently in the planning stages.
myflexbox parcel lockers are already available at these KNITTEL locations:
Through this partnership, the two companies are further expanding their range of 24/7 services for everyday needs. “Gas stations are increasingly evolving into multifunctional mobility and service hubs. Anyone who fills up, shops, grabs a coffee, or uses the car wash will soon be able to handle package services right on-site,” explains KNITTEL Managing Director Ulrich von Keitz.
“Gas stations are ideal infrastructure points for modern package logistics. They are visible, easily accessible, and often located exactly where people are already on the go,” says Jonathan Grothaus, CEO International & Founder of myflexbox. “Together with KNITTEL Energie, we’re bringing open parcel lockers to AVIA locations that create real added value in everyday life: for customers, package delivery services, and location partners.”
KNITTEL Managing Director Udo Weber also views the new partnership very positively and describes it as a “true win-win situation” for all involved. “We’re happy to offer our customers additional services at our gas stations nationwide. With its wide range of uses, myflexbox fits very well into our portfolio. Nothing stands in the way of a long-term, sustainable partnership at our AVIA locations.”

Parcel services right along your route
At the new myflexbox locations, users can access package services from many different carriers. Currently, Amazon, DPD, GLS, UPS, and FedEx are integrated. Amazon recently joined the network. As part of this strategic partnership, all myflexbox parcel lockers in Germany will be integrated into Amazon’s delivery infrastructure. This means that in the future, Amazon will be able to deliver directly to all German myflexbox locations.
The process is digital and simple: After delivery, recipients receive a notification from the respective package service and can flexibly pick up their shipment at the station. Returns and shipments can also be dropped off regardless of traditional business hours. myflexbox’s open infrastructure turns the gas station into a true one-stop shop for everyday needs.
AVIA Locations as Modern Service Hubs
The advantage in a gas station setting is obvious: package services become part of existing routines. Instead of making extra trips to package shops or missing delivery attempts, shipments are consolidated where mobility, local amenities, and service already converge. As an AVIA shareholder and a medium-sized energy trading company, KNITTEL operates in several regions of Germany. With the myflexbox parcel lockers, the Fulda-based company is now expanding the range of services at its gas stations to include another digital component.
