Salzburg, May 21, 2026 – Two strong companies with roots and a presence in the city of Mozart are joining forces to focus on smart parcel logistics. With parcel lockers from myflexbox already installed at over 70 ALDI SOUTH stores in Germany, the brand new international ALDI SOUTH headquarters in the versatile Maxglan district is now following suit. The smart city company is thus further expanding its strategic partnership with ALDI SOUTH.

Salzburg connects

The new myflexbox at Moserstraße 39 symbolizes a partnership that focuses on proximity, innovation and a shared regional connection. Both companies have close ties to Salzburg. myflexbox was founded in the historic city and is driving the expansion of sustainable, open parcel infrastructure in German-speaking countries from here. ALDI SOUTH also manages international activities from its headquarters in Salzburg.

Something special

“The fact that we can now roll out our infrastructure directly at ALDI SOUTH’s new headquarters is a real highlight for us as a company with strong roots in Salzburg,” says Jonathan Grothaus, CEO & Founder of myflexbox. “We optimize urban goods flows across Europe on a daily basis, but such a prestigious location in our shared home city shows that smart logistics starts right on our own doorstep.”

“With the myflexbox at our international site in Salzburg, we are creating an additional service offering that makes everyday life at the site even more convenient for employees, visitors and the immediate surroundings. This fits in well with our modern company location. We are particularly pleased that we are implementing this modern solution for parcel receipt, shipping and returns together with a company from Salzburg,” adds ALDI SOUTH.

Thinking sustainably together

The new myflexbox fits in perfectly with the future-oriented location concept of ALDI SOUTH Holding. The new company headquarters relies on resource-conserving construction, sustainable materials, photovoltaic systems on the roof surfaces and modern mobility options such as a bicycle garage and e-charging stations. As an open parcel locker, myflexbox continues this approach consistently: parcel routes are bundled, delivery processes are made more efficient and everyday life at the site is made even more convenient. The result is a coherent overall picture of a modern working environment, sustainable infrastructure and smart logistics, and not just for the 1,200 or so employees at the site.
