myflexbox continues to expand its open parcel locker network in Central Germany

The myflexbox parcel locker in Borna is located at Am Wilhelmschacht 34 at the site of location partner Kaufland.

Munich, Central Germany, February 5, 2026 – Last-mile logistics specialist myflexbox is strengthening its presence in the Metropolitan Region of Central Germany and further expanding its open, carrier-neutral parcel locker network across Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. Open parcel lockers located, among others, in Gera, Jena, Gößnitz, Zeitz, Borna, Zwickau, Pößneck, Brahmenau and Eisenberg ensure that parcels can be collected, sent or returned even closer to people’s everyday lives in the future.

DPD, UPS, GLS, FedEx

At myflexbox parcel lockers, the services of currently four parcel carriers can be used conveniently without waiting times or opening hours. Deliveries are bundled at central locations, reducing doorstep deliveries and travel distances, which leads to relief particularly in residential areas and highly frequented locations.

Especially in a cross-state region such as Central Germany, characterized by commuter flows, small and medium-sized cities and a strong regional economy, open parcel lockers provide real added value. They combine convenience for users, efficiency for logistics partners, and additional attractiveness for locations such as retail sites, petrol stations or municipalities.

Vision for urban logistics

“Central Germany clearly demonstrates why open infrastructure on the last mile works,” says Jonathan Grothaus, CEO & Founder of myflexbox. “Short distances, flexible use and a neutral approach ensure that parcel lockers have an impact where people are already on the move: in everyday life, not on the sidelines.”

The myflexbox network is being continuously expanded. The goal is to create a nationwide, comprehensive and modern out-of-home infrastructure, similar to the Metropolitan Region of Central Germany, that relieves cities, reduces delivery traffic and at the same time opens up new use cases for existing spaces.
