“Finally being able to collect parcels from major service providers such as UPS, FedEx and GLS conveniently and around the clock – this is now possible at three locations in Wolfsburg. We worked together to find locations in our warehouse that are suitable and easily accessible. Together with myflexbox, we are thus ensuring that the carbon footprint is reduced while providing a significant increase in service for the people of our city. This step is worthwhile for everyone involved,” says Hans-Dieter Brand, spokesman for the NEULAND management. The network is constantly being expanded and further parcel service providers will be added in the future.

The volume of parcels has increased dramatically in recent years – but often the people ordering them are not at home when the parcel service rings. This problem causes congested streets, increasing emissions and unnecessary journeys. Customers’ needs have also changed: They want to decide for themselves when and where they receive deliveries, with the greatest possible flexibility. myflexbox provides added service value with its neutral and open smart locker network. Lukas Wieser, Co-CEO and Founder of myflexbox, adds: “Our inclusive, neutral approach has other positive effects in addition to this flexibility and the bundled delivery traffic: Local Wolfsburg retailers and e-commerce companies can be integrated and operate Click & Collect, for example. Housing developments, cities and local authorities relieve the burden on the cityscape with ‘a parcel locker for everyone’ and use myflexbox as a smart city component: locations at intersections, train stations, bus stops or the cycle path network promote wider use of sustainable means of transport and strengthen emission-free mobility. The cooperation with NEULAND is a further step in this environmentally friendly direction.”
