Munich/Bremen, January 13, 2025 – The last-mile infrastructure company myflexbox and the medium-sized energy supplier Q1 Energie AG are breaking new ground together: The first myflexbox parcel lockers are in operation at the Q1 petrol station at Osterholzer Heerstraße 161 in Bremen.

Synergies between petrol stations and myflexbox

Petrol stations are increasingly developing into multi-service hubs that go far beyond traditional fuel sales. The integration of a myflexbox not only supports this change, but accelerates it. The advantages are convincing: thanks to the many round-the-clock services, the collection, dispatch and return of parcels is secure, contactless and flexible. This added value brings more frequency and more sales: a myflexbox can increase customer frequency at the location, as many customers make additional purchases. The increased convenience goes hand in hand with sustainability: bundling deliveries reduces traffic and CO₂ emissions. According to a study (TOR ZDG 2020), a myflexbox saves up to 2.2 tons of CO₂ per year compared to doorstep deliveries.

Independent and open to all

The cooperation is exemplary for two independent companies that are characterized by innovation and sustainability. As a neutral network, myflexbox offers access for all parcel services, while Q1 enhances its location with additional services. With myflexbox, the energy supplier is creating a further, attractive point of customer loyalty and arguments for a visit to the filling station. Lukas Wieser, Co-CEO and Founder of myflexbox, emphasizes: “The collaboration with Q1 shows what modern location management looks like: We combine smart logistics with petrol stations to create urban mobility and logistics hubs together.” Matthias Rähse, Shop Business Developer at Q1, adds: “With myflexbox, we offer our customers attractive added value: with us, they can combine refueling, washing, shopping and now also picking up or sending their parcels from various service providers – around the clock or during our generous opening hours.”
