Viennese customers of the e-commerce company Alza can now store even more conveniently and flexibly. From now on, they can have their products ordered online delivered directly to around 100 myflexbox parcel lockers in Vienna. At the beginning of next year, parcels can then be delivered to more than 160 locations in Vienna. Collection is possible around the clock, simply, conveniently and contactlessly. The increase in delivery efficiency also contributes to climate protection.
Alza offers its consumers a huge range of products at alza.at with more than 70,000 products in stock, ranging from electronics and household appliances to toys. If you want to receive your ordered goods 24/7 and regardless of opening hours, simply select the desired smart locker in the check-out and have your favorite products sent directly to your area. Overnight or next-day delivery is a special highlight for many items: if you order by the evening, your parcel will be in your parcel locker in the morning. Delivery to the myflexbox costs just 1.99 euros, whereas a doorstep delivery costs 4.49 euros.1 The other advantages are also obvious: depositing parcels in a myflexbox avoids unsuccessful doorstep deliveries. If you combine parcel collection with other everyday obligations, you also save unnecessary trips and CO₂.
Jonathan Grothaus, Co-CEO & Founder at myflexbox, is delighted about the expansion of delivery options that the smart city company is offering with this cooperation: “With Alza, we have gained a major e-commerce customer that is integrating the delivery option in a myflexbox directly into its own online store. The service makes the shopping experience even more convenient. At the same time, it enhances the customer experience and improves delivery efficiency.”
The specially developed myflexbox software with open interfaces enabled smooth integration. With 24/7 availability and automated storage processes, myflexbox supports e-commerce companies on their way to a seamless customer experience.
“We are delighted to be working with myflexbox to offer our Viennese customers a new dimension of convenience. We have noticed that many customers order in the evening and opt for delivery to the pick-up stations. And we don’t want to keep our customers waiting unnecessarily long. That’s why, thanks to our cooperation with myflexbox, we now offer them our premium service “Ordered by midnight, delivered to the AlzaBox in the morning”.
This means that a customer who orders goods at 11:59 p.m. can collect them the next morning from the collection point of their choice. Customers can also order on Friday evening and collect the goods from the box on Saturday morning. We also deliver the boxes at weekends,” says Hana Žáková, Country Manager at Alza.at.

Customers simply select a product on Alza.at marked “Ordered by midnight, delivered to the AlzaBox in the morning” and then select the nearest box on the map in the checkout area. In the morning, customers then receive a text message informing them of the delivery to the box they have selected and containing a code to open the box.
“We are already pleased with the first satisfied reactions from our customers, who describe the “Ordered by midnight, delivered to the AlzaBox in the morning” service as ingenious2,” adds Žáková.
