DPD is now available at almost all myflexbox parcel lockers throughout Germany. Customers can now collect and send their parcels flexibly and around the clock at 437 locations – conveniently, securely and exactly when it suits their schedule. And the network continues to grow: myflexbox plans to open an average of 30 to 50 new parcel stations every month and expand the network to 1,000 locations in Germany by the end of 2025.
Munich/Aschaffenburg, March 19, 2025. out-of-home delivery is becoming increasingly important: recipients want to pick up their parcels flexibly without being tied to delivery or store opening times. By 2030, one in four parcels to private recipients in Germany is expected to be delivered outside the home.
“The demand for parcel stations is growing rapidly. With myflexbox, we are now offering one more convenient and flexible delivery option – exactly what parcel recipients and senders want today. The growing network is creating a future-proof infrastructure that makes receiving and sending parcels even smarter and more convenient. These measures will bring tangible added value for our customers,” says Michael Knaupe, Chief Customer Experience & Business Development Officer at DPD Germany.
Strongly networked: DPD is building a nationwide out-of-home ecosystem
The partnership with myflexbox is just one part of DPD’s comprehensive out-of-home strategy: together with GLS, DPD is building a nationwide network of parcel stores and parcel stations. Thanks to partnerships with well-known retailers such as MediaMarktSaturn, NKD and Budni, as well as numerous Pickup parcelshop partners, DPD already offers more than 9,000 points of contact for receiving and sending parcels throughout Germany. DPD’s declared aim is to create a total of around 20,000 out-of-home points by 2027.
