myflexbox strengthens infrastructure in residential complex

The residents of our “Freiraum Gneis” residential complex have recently been able to use a special service: A modern myflexbox has been installed there. This makes it easy to receive, send and return parcels at any time. To start with, this is possible with DPD. A function is also currently being developed to hand over items, valuables or products to third parties at any time or simply to store them. This is already being used by the non-profit association Freiraum-Gneis-Mobil (e-car sharing).

Above all, the Smart Locker system is intended to replace collection slips in letterboxes in the long term and thus reduce unnecessary journeys. “This not only saves time but also CO2, which is completely in line with our sustainability philosophy. This innovative locker system also strengthens the infrastructure of our residential complex, which also includes a doctor’s surgery and a Diakonie.mobil location,” say the two Salzburg Wohnbau managing directors Christian Struber and Roland Wernik.

The myflexbox also supports the safety measures required due to the current Covid situation. This is because the contactless handover of parcels at a central location minimizes the risk of infection and optimizes the handover process. The climate-friendly locker solution was developed by a corporate start-up of Salzburg AG.
